A word on empowerment.

So recently I left my job of 3 years and began once again in entrepreneurship.
It’s been two weeks and so far the immediate difference of not having to routinely journey to a place of work has been relieving.
It’s challenging to mentally “arrive” at work when it’s your spare room. But it’s also empowering.
And I think this is important. As a feeling, empowerment is scarce for the majority in the workforce. There are so many competing bubbles amongst co-workers, managers and their managers, and their managers’ managers, that often empowerment is slowly and exhaustingly suffocated by process and bipartisanship taken to the nth level.
As any sole trader and business owner would attest to; the challenges of entrepreneurship are different, and in many ways far more difficult. But on empowerment, it wins hands down.
To help encourage empowerment, I’ve recently started a contract with Australian Consolidated Press who amongst many titles including 100% Home Girls, publish Smarter Business Ideas, a title focussed purely on helping business owners.
I love how the sliding doors of this life fortuned me with this content at exactly the same time as choosing to embark on a path requiring it, and I hope its pages and what I choose to share over its facebook, can inspire and help you too.
